Lewis Ogunbiyi & Co, an intellectual property law firm based in Lagos Nigeria, was set up to practice exclusively in challenging fields of intellectual property and related matters in Nigeria.

To meet with these challenges, the firm has the rare privilege of bringing together as partners and associates, experienced and dedicated patent and trademarks attorneys and other professionals in the fields of intellectual property and related matters.

Our endeavour was borne out of our desire to be better equipped to meet with these challenges and to be better focused in rendering to our growing domestic and international clients and associates the highest standard of professional services and in the process continue to build an exclusive group of professionals in the various fields of intellectual property, with in-depth appreciations of all practical and specialised considerations involved in domestic and international intellectual property laws and practice, albeit with bias for how to cater for the special needs of intellectual property proprietors in Nigeria.

In furtherance of the above objectives the Principal Partner of the firm opted to participate in the qualifying examination of the Institute of Patents and Trademarks Attorneys of England (ITMA) with the aim to qualify as a member by examination. He is currently sitting the qualifying examination, but in the meantime, he has greatly enriched the firm’s practice from the knowledge acquired in the course of researching for the examination. Furthermore, the members of the firm are members of various international trademarks organisations around the world.
